 GRANDPA RECORDS OFFICAL PRESS RELEASE

As Grandpa Records, we have a succesful track record of nurturing talent.

Over the last year, we have very many achievements; we have introduced new artists (e.g Pizo Dizo),worked with established artistes (e.g DNA),worked with artistes from outside of our camp (e.g Wyre, Esther Wahome), and boosted exixsting artistes so that they could blow up(e.g Kidis). We are also working with future legends (e.g ViSita).
We have also won six awards so far (Golden Mic & Nyota Awards), and have been nominated for the Best East African Song ("Maswali Ya Polisi") in the upcoming Kilimanjaro Awards in Tanzania.
With the success of songs like "Kamua Leo Remix", "Fimbo Chapa", among others, it can be said that Grandpa Records is a record label that puts artistes FIRST,and provides any serious and dedicated artiste with the support that they need to succeed in their careers.

IT IS WITH ALL THIS IN MIND THAT WE HAVE DECIDED TO DROP MR. NICE FROM THE GRANDPA RECORDS ARTISTE ROSTER.

Mr. Nice has been terminated for violating the agreement we entered into with him.

In Mr. Nice's contract with Grandpa, under the sub-clause "Terms of Violation", he has violated every single thing we agreed upon, and we are contemplating proceeding to court concerning several issues.
For the sake of the media & the general public, we will summarize and say this:

Mr. Nice is the most difficult, uncooperative, lazy, unreliable, and small-minded artiste that we have ever worked with.
The points and incidents of conflict are too many to mention here, so we will list a few briefly:

 - Mr.Nice harrased female artistes at Grandpa Records studio, and would become abusive to them when they refused to accept his advances.

 - Mr. Nice had previously signed a deal with Sallam Sharaff and Lamar in Tanzania, and did not disclose this to us at the point of being signed to Grandpa Records.

- Mr. Nice refused to fulfil his pledge to support orphaned children in Kenya and Tanzania, and did not contribute a single shilling to the initiative even after earning a substantial amount of money from his shows.

- Mr. Nice has refused to meet his financial obligations, even though he earns substantial amounts of money, to the point of being locked out of his house for lack of rent payment. This makes him a nuisance to the people around him.

- Mr. Nice is perpetually drunk,to the point of being a public nuisance, missing studio appointments, portraying a negative image of Grandpa Records.

- Mr. Nice is uncooperative, and this has led to loss in corporate shows, collaboration opportunities and other income-generating activities.

- Mr. Nice mislead us into believeing that Chameleone's "Badilisha Tour" promotion had used his name without permission, yet we came to discover that he had entered into an agreement with Chameleone, but used us to bail out of the show.

- Mr. Nice goes on drinking sprees after he is paid for shows; we pleaded with him to open a bank account, so that we could deposit his payments there, and help him to save and grow; but he refused and insisted on cash payments. As a result,he would spend tens of thousands every night after his shows, until he would finish his money and begin to be a nuicanse to others. Recently, he was stuck in Casablanca club Mombasa due to inability to clear his drinks bills on the 27th of May,until a kind -hearted promoter named Dickson bailed him out; he seems to be taking advantage of the kindness of others.

We have invested HEAVILY in Mr. Nice, and it is unfortunate that he has not acted professionally.
We advise all persons that may enter into dealings with him that they do so at their own risk.

Regards,

GRANDPA RECORDS
