VODACOM PREMIER LEAGUE MATCHES TO BE AIRED ON TBC 1 COURTESY OF AZAM MEDIA

Dar Es Salaam October 4th, 2013: Azam Media Limited has forged a cooperative arrangement with TBC so that football fans across Tanzania can benefit from being able to see Premier League matches every weekend until the mid-season break on TBC1, courtesy of AzamTV.
The Tanzania Football Federation and Tanzania Premier League Board declared themselves to be very supportive of this pragmatic initiative.
“Having been awarded the television broadcast rights for the Vodacom Premier League, one of our key objectives has been to ensure that we achieve world class quality. To that end we have invested heavily both in the latest outside broadcast technology and the training of the crews. I am delighted to say that things have gone so well that we find ourselves ready and able to broadcast to that high standard in advance of the launch of the full AzamTV service”, said Rhys Torrington, CEO, Azam Media Limited.

“With so many fans across Tanzania desperately keen to watch their favourite teams it seems an unnecessary waste not to make these matches available straight away. So, with that in mind, I approached our friends at TBC and asked if they would be willing and able to take our live feed at no charge, beginning this weekend, until the mid-season break. We rapidly reached an agreement and are just ironing out the technical details to be ready for Saturday’s big game”, added Mr.Torrington.

As soon as the full AzamTV service launches in the coming weeks extensive match coverage will also be available on its flagship channel until the mid-season break. Thereafter, the Vodacom Premier League coverage will become exclusively available to AzamTV subscribers.

End.
